Sustainability & Carbon Reduction Commitment

Posted by Trade Nutrition Compliance on 10th Feb 2026

Trade Nutrition is committed to reducing the environmental impact of sports nutrition distribution across the UK.

We recognise that logistics and packaging are significant contributors to carbon emissions. As a forward-thinking UK distributor, we have structured our business model to prioritise efficiency and sustainability.

Our Key Initiatives:

  • Logistics Efficiency (The 50kg Model): Our unique flat-rate shipping for up to 50kg is designed to encourage Group Buying. By consolidating multiple individual orders into a single DPD "Unit Drop," we significantly reduce the number of delivery vehicles on the road and lower the "per-item" carbon footprint.

  • Carbon-Neutral Delivery: We partner exclusively with DPD, a leader in green logistics. DPD is on track for 100% low-emission delivery in major UK cities and utilizes electric vehicle (EV) fleets for a growing percentage of our nationwide deliveries.

  • Minimalist Packaging: We work with our suppliers to reduce unnecessary outer packaging and prioritise recyclable materials in our shipping process to ensure zero waste to landfill where possible.

  • UK-Centric Sourcing: By focusing on UK-based brands and holding stock in our North West warehouse, we reduce international air-freight emissions associated with supplement imports.

Our Goal: Trade Nutrition is committed to a 20% reduction in our operational carbon intensity by 2028, supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
